we are officially in a new era - a sad era - for reproductive healthcare.

what can
you do?

Take Back Trust is here to help you navigate this unpredictable time.
There is so much at stake.
Here are the things that we recommend you do ASAP
knowing that changes to reproductive healthcare are on the horizon
.

REPRO PRIORITIES GIVEN THE NEW ADMINISTRATION

1.

make an OBGYN appointment ASAP

What type of appointment do you need? Scheduling appropriately will ensure you have time to ask all your questions!

2.

Consider replacing or placing an IUD

If you need to replace an IUD…

3.

If you have been interested in permanent sterilization, now is the time to consider that and make appointments to get the ball rolling. Wait times are already longer to have these procedures.

4.

Get abortion pills to have at home.

They last 2-5 yrs, and pills by mail cost approximately $150-200.

It is worth noting: laws vary by state.
For help with legal questions we recommend the Repro Legal Helpline at 844-868-2812.

If you need abortion medication now or want to have pills on hand for the future, contact: Aid Access, Plan C Pills, Hey Jane .

The organization that you choose to order medication from will likely give you resources on what to expect, but you can also get additional information:  here.

5.

Get Plan B to have at home

This is available over the counter. It costs approximately $50 for the brand name Plan B but there are several generic options as well as a different prescription medication called Ella.

6.

Download a secure period tracking app

Your period tracker shouldn’t put you at risk —choose a secure app that keeps your info safe and private, no matter what.

7.

Consider moving frozen embryo if in a red state.

Moving your frozen embryos to a state with stronger protections can give you peace of mind and help avoid potential legal complications down the road.

8.

It is worthwhile to consider what you would like to do with the remaining embryo you’re currently storing. It is likely it will be more difficult to discard embryo - do you feel comfortable with donation if mandated? If not, reach out to your reproductive endocrinologist ASAP.

If you have any remaining embryo and know that you are done having children

Learn about laws in your state: There is so much confusion after Roe fell about what the laws actually are.

They vary state by state and can change quickly based on court cases. Doctors aren’t always exactly up to date as it’s a full time job staying on top of current laws and unfortunately, there isn't a great way that states are disseminating accurate and up to date information to healthcare providers.

Make sure you know your rights and the latest information.

You should check maps like the one at Center for Reproductive Rights or Guttmacher.

If you need free and private legal advice, you can contact the Repro Legal Helpline.

Donate to: keep our clinics if you’re able to.

Independent clinics provide the majority of abortion care, yet they receive only a fraction of public support.

Independent providers are the most vulnerable to anti-abortion attacks and legislation intended to close clinic doors or push abortion out of reach. Between 2018-2023, 139 independent abortion clinics were forced to close or stop providing abortion.
